His career has spanned several leading organizations, including Shell, ExxonMobil, Addax Petroleum, and Ruta Exploration, where he has consistently delivered significant value through strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supply chain efficiency.
At ExxonMobil, he served as Procurement Advisor focusing on internal control processes and project delivery. His experience at Addax Petroleum included Contracts & Procurement Manager & General Manager, Supply Chain Management & Nigeria Content.
He led all major contract negotiations including Crude Handling Agreement with NAOC, Chevron & Seplat Petroleum. As a Member of Addax Tender Board, he created a robust and commendable Procurement governance which resulted in significant cost savings and cost avoidance.
Most recently, at Ruta Exploration, Olusoji Jegede held the position of Procurement Director, leading the development of Supply Chain Strategy, Project Planning, Procurement Procedure, & Vendor Management, leading Vendor Financed-project discussions, driving operational excellence & efficiency in a start up Company (SPV), managing and coordinating all Turnkey projects & strategic Rig, MOPU and FSO acquisition.
Olusoji Jegede holds Master’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management from University of Salford, Manchester City, United Kingdom and Master’s Degree in Project Management from University of Lagos, Nigeria, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria.
He is a member of Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) UK and is committed to continuous professional development.
